I was interested to find out where these "designer" caps were made. So I took myself off to my local T J Hughes store to do some research. The caps are all of a reasonable quality (although there is nothing particularly special about them). It turns out they are made in China, Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand. I found this quite interesting as I have seen people complaining on eBay that the caps they have bought are fake because they are made in the Far East. It would seem they are ALL made in the Far East - a fact I suspected anyway. It's my guess most designer stuff is made out there, but the designer companies keep quite about it.

Von Dutch Caps

Today I noticed that a local cut price department store is selling Von Dutch caps at just £10 each, or buy 2 get one free, working out at an incredible £6.66 each. These are the same caps that were selling for £50 up in designer shops, and for around £20 - £40 on eBay. Just goes to show the profit levels being made. More on this soon.

Why no Ebay in Thailand?
So why is there no Ebay in Thailand? It surely must be a prime candidate, after all we now have Ebay in China, Singapore and India. Thailand is one of the most dynamic economies in Asia, so it seems logical there should be a local Ebay. Perhaps it's because there is no local Auction site company Ebay can take over as they did, I beleive, in India.
